About Mrs. C’s Gluten Free
My family has been lucky enough to have a chance to review Halloween Eye See You gluten free playdough, Make & Play playdough, and watercolor paints from Mrs. C’s Gluten Free. Mrs. C’s Gluten Free stocks organic, gluten free, chemical and petroleum free school supplies.
My kids loved testing out Mrs. C’s products! The watercolors were our first product to try out and they were really nice. We just added water to the cups of powdered paint and stirred with the paintbrush until they were completely dissolved. The colors were lovely, and the kids had a great time with them. A big bonus is how easily they clean up! There were no stained clothes after our play time – even though I dropped a cup of the powder and some spilled on my jeans. And even when Elliott dropped a cup that was mixed with water, the table, floor and clothing all washed up easily.
However, as much as we loved the watercolors, the playdough was definitely the big hit for my kids. My kids are super playdough addicts. They spent the entire afternoon playing with the playdough and had a BLAST. Walter declared it the best playdough we’ve ever had. And, the entire intention behind Mrs. C’s Gluten Free being that the playdough didn’t include any of our allergens means that I don’t have to be super high strung about the kids using it without tight supervision, so I can let them play with it all afternoon. With traditional playdough, my boys would break out in rashes, simply from touching the gluten. And a little almost always made it into someone’s mouth, so I’d have a boy with a major tummy ache each time we would play with it. It was no good to have a toy that we loved so much make us sick and itchy every time! But, with Mrs. C’s Gluten Free, we didn’t have any issues. Even the toddler, who I am sure stuck at least one finger in his mouth at some point over the afternoon, didn’t have any issues with the playdough or watercolors.
I also love that I don’t have to worry about artificial colors, preservatives, or fragrances, since we don’t use those things on our bodies in our family. And not only is the playdough gluten free, but it is also free of casein, yeast, corn, and soy – all of which are concerns for our family. And, the products are made in the USA, by a person who understands food sensitivities, not by someone at a factory in China. All of these factors are very important to our family.
As I said above, the watercolor paints were easy to mix up for the kids. The Eye See You Playdough was a lot of fun because it was premixed and looks like an eye looking back at you. Walter claimed it as soon as he saw it. The Make and Play Playdough was easy to make. I popped it in the mixer, along with the oil and water and let the paddle blade do the work for me while William slept in the Ergo on my chest. Then I popped the bowl out of the mixer and served the playdough up to the kids in it. Right now, any play item that I can whip up with the newborn in a carrier and it keeps the kids happy and occupied for hours gets an A+ in my book!
We had such a great time with Mrs. C’s products. A Twelve Pack Rainbow Assortment of Mrs. C’s Gluten Free Play Dough is definitely on my kids’ Christmas list this year.
You can purchase your own Water Color Paints, Eye See You Playdough or Make and Play Mix Playdough at Mrs. C’s Gluten Free for less than $6 each! I also think the 12 Pack Set of Gluten Free Playdough would make an excellent gift for a gluten free child, or stocking stuffers for a few of them.
