Always Remember You Are Braver Than You Believe

The meaning of the A. A Milne quote “always remember you are braver than you believe” and why is it so important.

Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.
– Robin, Winnie the Pooh

This is a line from the famous Disney cartoon fiction Winnie the Pooh. In the cartoon, Robin asks Pooh what would happen if they are apart from each other. Pooh doesn’t know how to answer.

He thought that he would have no one to turn to, that he’d be lost. And Robin told Pooh that, if that ever happened, “always remember that you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you know.”

What was initially a simple line from a children’s fiction becomes an encouragement quote that inspires many. And it has every reason to be. When you read that again, you’ll discover more depth to the q

Always Remember You Are Braver Than You Believe

You are braver than you believe.

Courage isn’t just something you are born with or not. Just like any other skill, the more you practice, the better you are.

And how can you practice courage? By putting yourself to the test, by taking risks, and by stepping out of your comfort zone. That’s why you are never fully aware of how brave you are until you rise to challenges.

You are stronger than you seem.

Just like courage, strength can be trained. And your strength doesn’t grow when everything is going smoothly.

It’s during the tough times that you look for new solutions and learn new skills. And the difficulties will push you to develop a new mindset.

The more you go through, the more resilient you will be. As the saying goes, “things don’t get easier; you just get better.” And that’s what this line is all about. You might not be as strong as you wish to be today. But you will grow, and you will be stronger than you expected.

You are smarter than you think.

Lots of times, you blame yourself for not being as smart as the others. Maybe you don’t score as high in school. Or you have trouble getting things done at work.

But intelligence is much more than grades and efficiency. It’s also about creativity, flexibility, interpersonal skills, and more.

You are not good at maths. But you have great aesthetics and are good with colors and shapes. Or maybe you can come up with multiple solutions for a problem.

These are all signs that you are smarter than you think, as study shows. So notice your small wins and celebrate them because you deserve a round of applause.

You are loved more than you know.

Sometimes you don’t feel loved, not because people don’t love you – You have one or two people in your circle that don’t treat you right.

This happens so often, especially in romantic relationships and friendships.

A toxic partner will convince you that no one else is going to love you. And that if you break up with them, you would be lonely forever.

But the truth is, many people that leave a toxic relationship or a fake friendship find themselves much happier. They are back in the arms of the family and friends that actually care about them. They are no longer isolated from their support network. And yes, they feel loved again.

So if you think that you are not lovable, it will help to do a relationship audit. Look for signs of toxic relationships or fake friendships.

And also, notice who your real friends are. Surround yourself with the right people that recognize your worth. And if you need to cut people off but don’t have the courage, always remember you are braver than you believe.
